Overview: R-Jay Albano (born May 7, 1982 in Manila, Philippines), better known by his stage name RTIST, is a hip hop rapper from San Jose, California. RTIST is currently under the umbrellas of GO BIGG Music Group and DA FAM Records. In 2006, RTIST made a bigger buzz. He entered "The Battle of the Bay Showcase" and surprised many with his performance and lyrical content. He placed 3rd out of 32 competitors. RTIST's showcase included Loop Kicks (Martial Arts Tricks Team), The Architekz (Hyphy Dancers), Housing Authority, Staynless ( SJ Rapper), and Cel One (DA FAM Records). After this showcase, RTIST was invited by DJ Manaikal to perform with some of Bay Area's favorites like Mistah FAB, NUMP, Furious, Schweez, Bailey, J. Valentine, The Jacka, and many more at 94.9's Summer Bash Concert. It was a sold out event with over 2,000 people in the crowd.
