Overview: Buffy is one of a few rare artists, whose vocal style evokes the soul and spirit of classic R&B, while firmly grounded in the world of Hip Hop and Rap. Buffy is no "rookie" to the world of entertainment and has been performing since she was a small child. She started as a dancer on her uncle's weekly cable series "Kidfest", a Mickey Mouse Club styled program for inner city youth, in Durham, North Carolina. During these early years as a performer, she developed a reputation as a Michael Jackson impersonator, which she proudly performed at parties as a paid performer. In her early teen years, Lil' D mother's sought to combat her daughter's growing toughness by enrolling her in modeling school, alongside her older sister. The two sisters did several fashion shows with Shan-tal Models, however, their first major break came when they were cast as extras in two major motion pictures, The Inkwell & When We Were Colored.
