Overview: I have been playing guitar since I was 7 years old. My Grandpa got me interested in Outlaw Country when I was a young child. He would listen to guys like Waylon Jennings and David Allen Coe. My Father played guitar in 3 different rock bands in the 1970s, so my taste in music was somewhere in between country and rock. The songs I write are written in the style of modern country/southern rock. I consider artists like Jason Aldean, Eric Church, and Poyen's own Justin Moore to be today's version of Outlaw Country.
