Cigar In Bed is a hard rock band based in Providence, Rhode Island. A rock solid group of hard working rock enthusiasts and party throwing metal thrashers, Cigar In Bed, consists of Arthur Evans, James Marsland, Adam Fleser, Michael Bousquet, and Matthew Coughlin. In the early evolution of the sound, Arthur met Jim at Super Stop and Shop and the two of them shared their love for 90's rock gods such as Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots. They began writing songs together under the name Animals Amongst Men with the idea of channeling their hard rock and metal influences. Soon thereafter, Arthur met Adam in The Rhode Island Air National Guard and found out Adam was down to drop some guitar licks on the rocking tracks Jim and Arthur had in the bank. One thing led to another and soon enough two guitar players and a singer were having a blast jamming out tracks and blowing the roof off local venues. The guys needed a dependable bass player to lay down to some boom, so like any other single dude looking for love, Adam and Arthur went to the closest bar, The Mews, and found Michael Bousquet to jump on the newly formed Cigar In Bed bandwagon. The guys knew they had the lineup and songs ready to record, but needed a clutch drummer to keep them grounded. Arthur eagerly asked his high school bandmate Matt to sit in on the kit and give the guys a solid foundation to take off. Cigar In Bed was born delivering a hard rock/metal sound for starving retro rockers and metalheads everywhere.
In the Fall of 2012 Cigar In Bed recorded Blackout City with LowB Productions. The 6 song Ep features hard rock/metal tracks 'Before It All', 'Flesh Twist Bone', 'Hell Upon Me', 'Want You Below', 'Summer Snow', and 'One On Each Arm'. Cigar In Bed looks forward to pushing Blackout City onto the masses in 2013 and continuing to rock out in the free world.
