Overview: In 1997, suburbia Philadelphia fused the creativity of two musicians, giving rise to Alchemy. In the beginning, Alchemy was a cover band, playing the bar and party circuit. Given the popularity of the original songs on their play list, the band soon decided to devote all their energy to creating their own music. Alchemy's musical influences are many. They range from 60's and 70's classic rock produced by bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Doors and Jimi Hendrix, to the recent rock sounds of Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Nirvana and Blind Melon.
Alchemy blends the sounds of the above named bands and incorporates their own twist of originality ranging from straight up, in your face, hard rock tunes to melodic ballads. They have been described as 1970's Birmingham meets 1990's Seattle.
Alchemy produced and recorded their self titled debut album in 2003 and is currently in the recording studio putting the finishing touches on their much anticipated second album, WISE FOOL. Artist Site
