Overview: Acadiana is a band that formed in late 2010 with high ambitions and a desire to play unique and intricate music. With a genre similar to bands like Circa survive, Harvard and Oceana, Acadiana certainly breaks the barrier of the mainstream music scene, with melodic guitar harmonies, tight punchy rhythms, and powerful vocals that have given us the title "best local band" by many fans. Formed out of the breakup of Forever in A Day, Acadiana was founded by drummer Dakota Ruhl, guitarist Kevin Garcia and bassist Kyle Garcia Whom all have been playing music together since late 2003. Later joined by Guitarist Colin Clay, and Vocalist Micah Morris, Acadiana's musical chemistry has shown to be strong and enticing to listeners. Acadiana has won three battle of the bands competitions, has been played on The Houston Underground Radio Station as well as A radio station in College Station and have opened up for bands such as Decoder(Rise Records) From Indian Lakes, and I Set My Friends on Fire.
