BIOGRAPHY
Bill Lascelles is a singer/songwriter who just released his fourth CD entitled “Why I Come Back”. He has spent over 20 years engaged in the music business since the days he first took recording engineering in the hills of Chillicothe Ohio in 1986. During his time in Chillicothe he co-wrote and recorded the song “If I’d Known”. He describes listening to the playback of that song amongst his fellow students as transformative. Although he had been writing songs since the age of 15 that was the moment music became his creative anchor.
Bill recorded several demos over the next few years until the release of his first complete CD entitled “Hardened By A Woman’s Touch” recorded in 1997 through 1998. His debut album received positive reviews and nearly killed him in the process as he recorded late into the night while working long hours during the day.
Bill’s subsequent albums, “In The Struggle” released in 2002 and “For What It Is” released in 2007, also drew critical praise and continued the flow of his fertile passion. In his latest release Bill Lascelles puts forth a culmination of intense verse and a soulful mix of melody that transcends genres. After nearly 25 years since his first recording he feels that he has finally gotten it right.
