Overview: The Rusty Thomas Band began when long time friends Rusty Thomas and Matt Rollins began passing demos back and forth in the fall of 2010. Although they were both experienced musicians and songwriters they had never before worked together as their musical interests were vastly different- Rusty coming from a country background and Matt from a straight ahead rock and roll background. Local Atlanta guitarist Jon Harris (The Sundogs, Jon Harris and the Sinhounds) was called in to handle guitar duties and by the end of those first sessions it was apparent that they were on to something great. Mixing southern rock, classic country, and bluegrass, RTB brings a unique, southern sound you won't hear anywhere
