Overview: Fort Collins acoustic rock band, The Holler!, consists of 4 uniquely individual singer/songwriters who play mandolin, guitar, bass, and drums. The sound is self described as "Folkedelic" ... meaning "Manifesting Folk". Inspirations of folk, rock, bluegrass, funk, blues and reggae are blended with the intentions of bonding "the folk" together for celebrations of diverse community. With the May 2011 independent album release of Gratitude, The Holler! has been receiving lots of good press and attention around Norther Colorado... The Fort Collins Musicians Association (FoCoMA) recently voted them "Best Bluegrass Band 2011". A review of Gratitude in the Scene Magazine July 2011 says, "The Holler!’s latest album, Gratitude, is just plain good. The sweet harmonies and laid-back songs could only have come from a group so closely connected with the landscape of Colorado. The group’s songwriting is second-to-none, creating a diverse album that holds quick to its mountain roots."
