Overview: "Country with a Rock Attitude!" 22 year old singer/songwriter Christen Sawyer has taken her eclectic taste in music and created a project with a unique country/rock sound. A collection of pop country tunes brought to life with electric guitar & lyrics from the heart, her first album dropped with two top 20 hits on the Texas Music Charts and Regional Radio Report. "Crazy," the first release off the album, caught the eye of renowned Nashville music critic Bob Oermann from Music Row Magazine. He described the song as "...a feisty little bopper with some sting in its sound." She has been named 2010 Female Vocalist of the Year by the Academy of Texas Music, and was nominated again in 2011 by both the Academy and the Texas Regional Radio Report. Sawyer has been touring regionally, opening for artists like the Eli Young Band, Rio Grand, Jason Boland, Perfect Stranger, & Josh Abbott. She and her band made two showcase appearances at the 2011 South By Southwest festival in Austin, TX.
