Overview: A native of Houston, Texas, I moved to Los Angeles with a friend. I credit my mother for introducing me to the music of Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline and Hank Williams. I credit the musicians that I was around as a child for exposing me to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Janis Joplin and Boz Scaggs. After moving to Los Angeles, I began to frequent the local music scene and was highly influenced by artists like Lucinda Williams and Dwight Yoakum.
After a short-lived career in acting, writing and directing in Los Angeles, my interests turned to poker, which I played semi-professionally and later professionally. Finally, I settled into a full-time marketing career. My love of music didn’t stop, however. In December of 2008, I had the wild idea to play guitar again. Almost instantaneously, I began writing the songs that would make up my debut CD “One Track Mind”.
