Overview: Neon State has been making a name for themselves in the Northwest for their live shows and catchy songs. Their songs contain a rich blend of light-hearted lyrics, shredding guitar solos, and infectious hooks. The long-awaited first full-length album has finally been released in 2010, featuring songs that will have you moving and singing along.
Neon State's tale began in 2007. Frigid Pullman, Washington, was home to band members Dave Montgomery (vocals/guitar), Ryan Graves (bass) and Dan Wood (drums) who were attending college. Held within the cold confines of a friend's garage, after relocating from their former practice space after the cops were called on them for being too loud, the band began to hone their sound and amassed a large catalog of original songs. After moving back to Olympia Neon State completed their line up with shredding guitarists Grant Caldwell and Bryce Sloan.
Neon State regularly plays shows throughout the Northwest, including Seattle, Portland, and Olympia Artist Site
