Overview: Skin Trade is a theatrical, U.S. alternative rock band, in the style of Stone Temple Pilots, Alice Cooper, and Iggy and the Stooges. They blend heavy with harmony, and present catchy hooks, and socially important lyrics, in a world of watered down rock music. Skin Trade’s sound is a mix of hard rock, punk, blues, and 90’s rock. The Los Angeles based band formed early this year, while attending Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, and they just released their 11 song, debut album “Heretic” on iTunes August 20th. The album is a controversial statement about being yourself, and sticking to your beliefs even if they are “unorthodox.” They have been playing venues in L.A. such as the Key Club, and Viper Room, and look forward to expanding their fan-base globally.
