Overview: Tshaka Mahdi Brown (born June 14, 1985) known by stage name Tshaka pronounced (shocka) is an African American rapper and song writer. Born in Atlanta Georgia where he spent the first 6 years of his life. After separation of parents Tshaka moved to the south side of Chicago, Roseland Community also known as the Wild Hundreds along with his older brother, younger sister and mother. Tshaka attended Morgan Park High School where he excelled in Varsity Baseball and Basketball. After graduating in 2003 with high honors, Tshaka enrolled at Southern University of Carbondale in the fall of 2003. Tshaka enjoyed the art of music his whole life in College is where he began to write. After Graduating in May 2007 with his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Tshaka enrolled at Keller Graduate School in Tinley Park in 2008, where he is pursued a Masters Degree and graduated in October 2010.
