Overview: HI I'M WHULAHAY! A new R&B artist that just came out with a new hot mixtape by the name of "The Vowels Of Me". I'm a VERY inspired person that have much passion to be not only a singer but an entertainer. I work hard because of my drive. However, I work 5 times harder because I'm coming out of Detroit. I always have faith within myself and I'm ready to be what i want to be, an entertainer. My music shows much passion within me. It shows faith as well as the love i have for my people. It all started from me as a child, watching others, hoping my time would come. Well i guess it's my turn and I'M UP FOR THE CHALLENGE!

Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Whulahay (age 16) started singing and playing the piano at the tender age of 6. While attending elementary school at the YMCA, May, 22, 2004, Whulahay received the Degree of Excellence for performance at the Recital, given to her by Ozie Cargile, piano teacher at Edward’s Music. While continuing elementary school, Whulahay received the Always Singing award from the Redford Parks and Recreation Program. She was also a great known artist around her school and was elected to participate in the Wendy’s Youth Arts Month and received a Certificate of Outstanding Art in 2005. Meanwhile, moving in to middle school, Whulahay became part of the musical and marching band where she learned to play the trumpet, xylophone, and snare drum, with her main interest being the piano. Whulahay was an honor student graduating from YMCA Service Learning Academy’s middle school class in the summer of 2008. Right before graduating, Whulahay became a member of Hartford Memorial’s ICAA cheer team and won first place in the ICAA cheer competition. Continuing to high school, Whulahay attended Aisha Shule WEB Dubois Prepatory Academy studying the Kiwahili language. Moving on to Inkster High school, she received her highest GPA level of 4.2. Refocusing on her singing career, Whulahay released her first mixtape entitled “The Vowels of Me” on April 30, 2010. She has done live performances at Ebony’s Showcase, Detroit, MI and The Boys and Girls Club, Pontiac, MI for a charity event. While furthering her education at Ashworth College online, she is currently working towards building her fan base and completing her second musical CD. Leaving you with Whulahay’s famous quote, “Bad things happen, but only to bring the hero out in you.”
