Overview: My name is Monica Murphy known to many as Lady Soul. I come from a family of 9 talented children. My God given gift is singing. I was inspired to sing at a young age listening to Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. My first solo appearance was at a block party singing "His eyes is on the Sparrow". Almost every eye was full of tears. At this point I knew God blessed me with a voice to share with the world. I have performed at numerous venues such as Air Lounge, Mission Rock, Toons, Element Lounge, Maxwells, Club 6, Kimballs, Club Anton just to name a few. I have also done plays such as Dream Girls where I played one of the leading roles as Effie White. I worked with Rebel Nation, in which a compilation album was released and is available online everywhere. I am currently promoting an album I am promoting which I have put my heart and soul into. On this album you will hear the true soulful sounds of Lady Soul. Some compare me to Mary J Blige others Jill Scott. You be the judge
