Overview: Steven Anthony Lucas, aka The Mind, was born in Chicago, and grew up in Franklin Park. He then moved to Naples, Florida at the age of seven, shortly after his mom passed away from cancer. He had alot of hardship growing up, and found an outlet through music. In 2001, he moved back to his hometown of Franklin Park with his father, and started writing music, and playing guitar for a few years, until he was influenced by Lupe Fiasco, and Nas in 2007. He then started writing and recording hip hop with Chance Productions, Aka Chance of The Naturals. He found out that music is his life, and has a mission to create and release true hip hop with lyrical emotional background. Ever since, he has been performing and promoting around the chicagoland area at places like, The Atlantic, The Penny Road Pub, Cue-Phoria, Cabana Club, Hot Shots, Fagens, The Underpass, The Rock Box, Logan Square Auditorium, Elmhurst College, and more.
