Overview: My name is John Bell, I'm from Jasper Tn. I've been tinkering with songwriting for over 20 years. I learned to play the guitar to help with my writing ability. It has been a long process, but I truly enjoy writing, singing and playing. I was born in Murphy NC and gained a love for music when my aunt Billie Jane joined a record club in the 60's, she got a lot of albums and she would let me listen to them when I visited my grandmother. I can remember listening to Johnny Cash, June Carter, Willie Nelson,Elvis, Porter Wagner, Chubby Checkers, Dolly Parton, The Beatles to name a few. That's when I started to sing along and I've been singing ever since. I got the bug to write in the 8th grade, we had to write a poem in English class, I wrote one about the flight of a mourning dove, my teacher held me after class and told me how much she liked it and that I should write more. I'm just a small town country boy with a passion for music, Harley's and life, music is truly the flavor of life.
