|Do You Remember|
|Scraped And Bruised|
18 year old Taylor Dawn Nealey is no stranger to the stage, but unlike her contemporaries in the business, she doesn't come from a musical family. Though she has been singing as long as she remembers, the writing bug bit her much later. "I just sort of woke up one day with a song in my head", the beautiful senior Vilonia student said with her trademark smile. "I had learned guitar at a young age when Grandma signed me up for lessons, and I wanted to sing my own songs. So writing just came naturally."
A 2010 CD recorded at Raney recording studio just helped fuel the fire. Taylor credits Tim Crouch and Jon Raney for helping her to first craft her songs into radio ready tunes. "Tim listened, led the way, and played everything. I was totally amazed" said Taylor.
In 2011, she began to take advantage of using the world famous "Cuttin Crew" at Raney recording. Members of the band have recorded with George Strait, Jamey Johnson, Glen Campbell, Johnny Lee, Mickey Gilley, Pam Tillis, and hundreds more. Taylor's dad adds "It is like this little Arkansas secret nestled in the hills. These guys are amazing at crafting Taylor's music. And to think to it was right here under our nose all this time."
The future is bright for Taylor Dawn....truly homegrown in every sense of the word. "As long as the crew is there, I'll be making my music in Arkansas" she says. "And to me, that's the spirit of homegrown!"
