Overview: Prince Haiti (Singer/Songwriter) Born Frantz St. Fort in Saint-Martin, Delmas Port-au-Prince, Haiti the year is unknown. Frantz was the first born in the family. Frantz made two trips to America before finally staying in 1993. From the poverty stricken streets of Port-au-Prince, to the suburbs of Milwaukee, then finally to southern Maine, Prince has had a vast array of life’s experiences. Maine is where the majority of Prince Haiti’s life has taken place but plans are in the making to re-locate south. Young Prince developed a love of many forms of art, the favorite being poetry. Phyllis Wheatley and Harriet Tubman were two of Prince Haiti’s favorite poets. The two had a profound impact on Prince’s love for poetry. Music did not consume Prince’s life until the early teens. Prince considers himself to be a connoisseur of intricate detail, so lots of time was spent comparing and contrasting the wide range of influences.
