Overview: Born with a passion for music, Cleveland, Ohio native Jerry Lang II (known as JL to friends) has had many musical accomplishments as a classical pianist, and now wants to try his hand at pop music. Playing at Carnegie and the United Nations twice before the age of 15, JL has a strong understanding of music. After accomplishing what he wanted in the classical music field, he began his journey as a hip-hop/r&b/pop producer and songwriter at 16. Starting off making simple beats for local acts, he eventually had grown into a very talented producer and songwriter. His musical influences are classical musicians such as Rachmaninoff, and hip-hop super producers Kanye West, Ryan Leslie, Boi1da, and The Neptunes. At 20, JL's accomplishments in pop music have been few, but very respectable. His band Vitium just recently was signed to Japanese record label GoonTrax and their song "Never Looking Back Again" (remixed by re:plus) debuted on Japan's Hip-Hop iTunes chart at number 3.
