  BIOGRAPHY
Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, James Allen became involved in music as he was growing up. He sang gospel music and learned how to play guitar and piano.

James Allen moved from out west and headed to music city Nashville Tennessee, where he began slugging it out in local honky tonks, developing a dedicated following of fans.
