Overview: We are an indie folk group centered around two singer/songwriters, Steve Varney and Jess Parsons. The other two members are Dustin Reed on Bass and Patrick Kline on Drums. We met at CU Denver in a songwriting class and loved each others music, so we all started playing together. We have been compared to the Swell Season, Gregory Alan Isakov, Damien Rice and Iron and Wine. The lyrics are the most important part of our music, but it's not your typical singer/songwriter G, C, D chords. The music is very thoughtful and well arranged, and vocal harmony plays a big part in our sound. Our current instrumentation includes Guitar, Paino, Stand-Up Bass and Drums, but we switch to mandolin and accordion on occasion. We just released our debut album, "The Annual Demise of Every Aspen" and we are looking to get our music out for people to hear. We are based in Denver, but we travel around the country regularly and play in the surrounding states.
