El Negro Kaliente was born in Humacau, Puerto Rico and raised in the North Eastern streets of Paterson New Jersey, where he found his love for music. QUEST 4 LIFE grew up listening and looking up to groups like the Sugar Hill Gang, Hector Lavoe, Frankie Ruiz, Bonny Cepeda, among many other artists in different genres of music. QUEST 4 LIFE became really determined to become a successful artist during his High School days at East Side High School especially after losing an opportunity to record a rap song for the movie Lean On Me to rap artist Big Daddy Kayne. As QUEST 4 LIFE got stronger in the Hip-Hop business he took a big interest in Reggaeton and Merengue music. In 1998, QUEST 4 LIFE was signed to NEXT PLATEAU RECORDS working with Mr. Eddie Perez for Mucho Soul Productions. The song was called World Wide Thing reaching number 12 on the dance charts. Immediately after the single was released, QUEST 4 LIFE took a serious interest into producing and writing for other artists. QUEST 4 LIFE is currently an ASCAP member and CEO of FUERZA/STRENGTH REKORDS.
