The Idyllists

Overview: The Los Angeles indie rock/britpop group, The Idyllists consist of a British singer backed by a group of American boys. The Idyllists reinvent 60's mod squad nostalgia, a sound often described as Morissey meeting Elvis at a Buddy Holly concert. Their first single, "Great Love Story" off the self released debut album The Long Hours Between Sunset and Morning has garnered the attention from such 60's notables as Rodney Bingenheimer. They just want you to dance.

  BIOGRAPHY
Six charming Americans and an instantly magnetic vocalist from England team to form a rock n roll band that puts a modern twist on 60s Britpop. A regular feature on Rodney Bingenheimer's KROQ radio show, The Idyllists are the sound of Johnny Cash meeting Morrissey for a drink at a Buddy Holly show. Released in 2009, the debut album from the Idyllists, entitled THE LONG HOURS BETWEEN SUNSET & MORNING, was produced by the band and David Cobb (Shooter Jennings, Rock N Roll Soldiers) and recorded in their hometown of Los Angeles, CA with Greg Gordon (The Thrills, Hot Hot Heat, Supergrass, Oasis). Their introductory double A-side single received airplay on independent and rock radio in cities across the USA, and the band has shared stages with the likes of the Subways, the Helio Sequence, the Cinematics, IAMX, Andry Rourke of the Smiths, and the New York Dolls.
