George's early adolescence and adulthood were spent much the same as everyone else; working at an early age, marrying and raising a family. Always singing or humming any one of his favorite tunes, his dream was shelved to make way for reality and responsibilities. After an eye-opening auto accident in late 2006, the realization that he might not ever fulfill his dreams spurred him to write his first original song Right Before My EyesÂÂ. With the support and encouragement of his family, he made the decision to change his career and is now fulfilling that dream full time.
After diving into music in early 2007, Montgomery Gentry, Trace Adkins, Blake Shelton, Trent Tomlinson and Ray Scott instantly set a precedent for his aspiration. To emulate the soulful rock sound of the New Country radio became his goal. George's first solo live performance was in Hudson Beach, FL on June 20, 2007. Since that date, George performs regularly in Pasco, Hernando and Citrus Counties. He has been featured at the Hernando County Fair (Brooksville, FL), North Florida Fair (Tallahassee, FL) and Lee County Fair (Ft. Myers, FL) and has regular scheduled dates at several venues. He has opened for Big Kenny (of Big and Rich fame), and performed at the Charlie Daniels fundraiser for The Angelus, Charliepalooza in December of 2010 and 2011. He's performed on the same stage with Montgomery Gentry and provided entertainment for the "Sailaway Party" for the Nashville Navy Country Cruise hosted by GAC's Storme Warren in 2008 and 2010.
Songwriting is a new branch in George's career. As a member of both The Nashville Songwriters Association International and BMI since early 2008, George is currently working with other writers in Nashville and Atlanta in an effort to create new music to appeal to the masses.
George released his CD entitled "I'm The Guy' in June 2010, which is comprised largely of his own material. It was well recieved and given a good review by Music News Nashville (www.musicnewsnashville.com).
