Sophie Aboud is seventeen years old and lives in Robina, Queensland, Australia. Growing up in a home surrounded by music, Sophie has a passion for songwriting and performing and started at a young age. She began performing at age five in dance recitals and competitions. She has continued to dance for twelve years. From age six she was singing solos in Christmas Carols which was followed by roles in musical theatre. At the age of eight Sophie recorded songs for a children’s CD.
Sophie started writing songs at the age of eleven, she loves to observe life, and put her thoughts into song, creating a story in her music. Sophie went to the recording studio to record her first song “Waiting for You” which she entered into the International Songwriting Competition, teen category in 2007, which was placed in the semi-finals.
