Overview: Linear Downfall is an American alternative rock and experimental band from Nashville, Tennessee. The band consists of Charlee Cook (lead vocals, bass guitar), Chance Cook (guitar, backing vocals), and Will Hicks (drums, percussion, piano). The group will release their debut album Daydreaming at Night on October 20, 2009. Daydreaming at Night includes tracks that deal with common life struggles, such as loneliness, brokenness, and depression, yet talks about being strong and overcoming adversity. Linear Downfall also takes on political issues such as overpowering government control and war and destruction. The album was mixed by Grammy Award winning engineer David Hall. Linear Downfall has managed to mix different styles of rock music dating back to the 1960s to form what they refer to as “alterdelic electromental classical funk rock,” which is derived from alternative rock, psychedelic rock, electronic rock, experimental, classical rock, and funk.
