Overview: Hi,
I'm a working cowboy/ ranch manager. also a singer songwriter. My boys and I live and run cattle in southeast Colorado. After their mother left three years ago, I turned to music for piece of mind. Tom Knowlton, who grew up on a ranch near here, is a talented musician I met out here. We got together and made Open Range Band. We play live shows in the area. I've been writing more and we've made a CD. It was written and recorded out here on the ranch. Produced by Jack Wise in New York who also plays piano on the project. We hope you enjoy it.

I was born and raised in west central Kansas. Farming never suited my fancy and I left that part of the country for Montana on the back of a horse. A cowboy for to be. Turns out that suited me fine. I worked large ranches all over the western U.S. Many of the songs I sing are a reflection of life out back of beyond. I was married to the mother of my two boys for 14 years. After she left I took to writing more songs and formed a band with my friend Tom Knowlton. The boys and I live on the beautiful Bow and Arrow ranch where we raise cattle in southeast Colorado.
Tom was a road musician playing pedal steel for years in the 70's and 80's. He played shows with many of the greats when they were starting out. Vince Gill, Kieth Whitley, to name a few. He opts for the sound of the banjo, mandolin, and dobro these days. The sound suits our real country music done by real country boys.
