Overview: I am a small town girl from AZ, 24, belting out country songs my way, which fortunately attracted Nashville.
I have Long Island, NY roots that would account for the attitude parts in my music. LOL . When I was 7 the family moved to AZ for the western lifestyle of riding horses and wide-open spaces.
"Somewhere In Between" best describes me as a person and its the song I chose to submit first. It's my answer to "Redneck Woman" and seems to be a huge favorite with women that identify with that middle ground.
I want to sing what I am passionate about. If it doesn't make you laugh, cry or move you in some way, it's not worth singing. For me, my album "Kickin' Up Dust" accomplishes that.
It's the most awesome feeling in the world when fans approach me & tell me how they connect with my music , or how my songs got them through a breakup. That makes it all worthwhile.

"I love surprises! Recording in Nashville, seeing the reaction to my album, 'Kickin' Up Dust,' finding out that 8 of 10 songs are favorites, and knowing the album has value to fans," says Arizona-raised Candyce.
New artists look for music outlets like MySpace to expose their music to listeners. "You have 10 seconds to get their attention, so when the response is 'Wow, that's Country?', that's the nicest surprise. It's great knowing that you've connected with the fans," declares Candyce.
Besides music, Candyce loves spending time outdoors, riding her horse and ATV, target shooting, and spending time with her family.
