Anne Marie is an American pop singer-songwriter, blogger, actress, visual artist and screenwriter in Los Angeles. Former Warner Bros. music executive Caryn Mandel described Anne Marie as being a “young, beautiful, energetic, responsible and brilliant singer-songwriter.” Anne Marie just completed recording her debut pop EP and is currently working on additional new tracks.
Born and raised in Lumberton, North Carolina, Anne Marie spent her childhood studying piano, dance, voice, visual art and acting. She studied classical piano 9 years and trained two summers at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Anne Marie's love of writing blossomed into poetry and songwriting. She wrote and published a book of poems entitled The Infinite Journey in high school.
Anne Marie attended the University of North Carolina and while there studied abroad in London with honors. Inspired upon her return, she began recording music and collaborating with local producers and musicians. Anne Marie also wrote a weekly editorial column entitled “Glamorous Trash,” reaching an audience of 40,000. She graduated with a degree in business and moved to Los Angeles.
Anne Marie worked as a music artist with Casbah Management and later with former Warner Bros. executive Caryn Mandel. She trained at Hollywood Pop Academy. Mentored by an Oscar nominated screenwriter, Anne Marie penned a dramatic screenplay entitled “Corruptions of the Heart.” She recently acted as the lead in two short films as well as gaining a role on the television show Mystery ER. She creates visual art in her leisure time and authors a blog at www.glamoroustrash.com. She is a passionate Vegan and has been sober for 5 years.
