Overview: Mad Monk LTD recording artists and psychedelic dance/pop duo Beatnik Castle featuring singer/songwriter Francillia and producer extraordinaire Quiny B are, perhaps, the Bay Areas coolest, hippest and dynamic eclectic musical duo. Theyve been described as the modern-day Sonny & Cher, a quirky rendition of Captain & Tennille, and a hipper version of the Eurythmics. Currently they are basking in the skyrocketing worldwide success of their single Will U Be Mine?The single is currently being played on over 100 Dance mix stations across the country, as well as XM/Sirius, Europe, South America, and Australia. The song was placed on the Official Grammy ballot by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences in the Grammy category Dance Single of the Year in 2008 and 2009. Beatnik Castle also was placed in the Grammy Ballot categories "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year" in 2010.

Tampa Bay Area psychedelic dance/pop duo Francillia and Quincy B collectively known as Beatnik Castle, released their stunning debut cd maxi-single Will U B Mine?in summer 2009. Released on Tampa independent label Mad Monk, Ltd in Summer 2009, the CD features remixes from internationally known remixers Cato K, Lenny B and, of course, Quincy B. The single is currently getting airplay on over 100 dance/mix radio stations across the country, including XM/Sirius BPM and 18 radio stations in Europe, including the UK and Germany, as well as Australia and South America. The Bay Areas hottest musical duo was recently added to Clear Channels New Discover/Uncover nationwide artist roster, including local station 95.7 The Beat and the single has over 18,000 spins. The single made its national broadcast debut on Logo Network December 2009 and has been added to MTV, VH1, Spike TV, Music Choice and other audio and video outlets worldwide.
  BIOGRAPHY
Since signing with promoter DJ Harry F. Towers of DEET Promotions in March 2009, Francillia and Quincy have been extremely busy - performing at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, Urban Music Awards in New York, the grand opening of Club Q-S.I.N.Y. in Staten Island, as well as personal appearances at local dance clubs, art exhibits, fashion shows, sporting and charity events, as well as performing their unique dance/club songs unplugged at coffee shops and private parties as well. The Tampa Bay Areas hippest and most talented musical duo were finalists at the 2009 Urban Music Awards in New York City and recently placed on the Official Grammy Ballot in three categories, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year, by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for the 2010 Grammy Awards. Originally from St. Croix, US VI and a US Army Veteran, thee lovely Francillia recently sang the National Anthem at to a star-studded celebrity crowd including such boxing notables as Winky Wright, Jeff Lacy, Nate Campbell, trainer and QB mentor Jimmy Williams and legendary trainer Angelo Dundee( !) at the Ballroom Brawl in Tampa November 2009.
Written and produced by Quincy B, "Will U B Mine?" was originally released in 2008 by Scovill Avenue, yet another unrecognized Bay Area gem whose 2008 Mad Monk CD Big House was placed on the Official Grammy Ballot in seven Grammy categories from NARAS in 2008, including the coveted categories Record of the Year, Album of the Year,and Song of the Year. Incidentally, Will U B Mine?in its original version, was placed on the Official Grammy ballot category in the Grammy category Dance Single of the Year as well. In 2007, Beatnik Castles Mad Monk label mates Peasants of Posture had four different songs placed on the Official Grammy Ballot in four different categories for the 2008 Grammy Awards.
