I was born in Redwood City on May 27th, 1982. My family moved from San Mateo, California to Paradise, California when I was two years old, so my mother could attend Butte-Glen Community College. When I got into High School, I realized music is what I wanted to do. When I was fourteen, I bought my first drum set and soon after started playing in a nineties alternative-rock band with a couple of friends from high school. In my first band, we didn’t have a name, we played cover songs we liked from the radio (and other mainstream cover songs) from bands like Nirvana, Marilyn Manson and Korn. When I was sixteen, I got into some trouble with the law and had to do some time in Juvenile Hall. A month later I was out of jail and on Probation, I met a drummer who was also on probation. He knew a guitar player, I tried out as a singer for the duo, and we soon started jamming regularly. But, my drumming buddy soon proved unreliable and the guitar player and I ended up joining two other guys from another local band. After a few months, we learned enough cover songs to start playing at a local bar and we dubbed ourselves “BGP”. However, “BGP” became “Skingraft” and quickly our popularity grew. We headlined a $2 concert at a local music hall and over 200 people showed up. We continued to play shows until late 2001. After Skingraft dissolved around February 2002, I started playing with an assortment of guys from other local bands. It was more of a “Black Metal” project, which was different from anything I was use to, and I quickly realized “Black Metal” wasn’t really my style. Around 2004, I began making hip-hop mix-tapes with Joop. These tapes consisted of us rapping over other people’s beats onto cassette and a few skits in-between. We dubbed ourselves “B & Joop” and still make mix-tapes today. In 2005, J-Dub (ex-Skingraft bass player) invited me to record a verse for a song called “Get up off my nuts”. After the “success” of that song, we began writing & producing music together. We started a hip-hop group with Joop and named it “Fifty 2 One”. Soon after that, in the fall of 2006, Skingraft reunited. We played six local gigs but by March 2007 we were no longer together and since the demise of Skingraft, I’ve been writing and producing music for three different albums with various people.
