Blaque Majique was formed about ten years ago. As a Guitar player Billy started to hone his skills early on, studying everything from Hendrix to Malmsteen, sometimes studying for more than ten hours a day.. Billy played with many bands, with different styles, all around Los Angeles . He's played numerous Venues, and as a combination of all these factors, He arrived at the style of guitar playing heard on many of there original material. As a bass player Levelle also started studying music early on, listening to everything he could get his hands on, like Stanley Clark, Weather Report, The Mahavishnu Orchesrta, Bootsy Collins, and Country Western just to name a few. He also took a course in college to further his understanding in music theory, harmony, cord progression and scale modes. Julius also started honing his skills early on. Julius studied artist like, Parlament Funkadelic , The Ohio players, Ten years after, Prince and more , Julius furthered his music knowledge by taking a few courses in middle school. Paul as a drummer started playing a little later in the game than Billy, Levelle and Julius, but never the less he compacted his studies into a shorter learning time by studying in a more precise timed method. Paul studies drummers like Billy Cobham, Dennis Chambers, and he also plays and studies Gospel. Paul first stared his music studies at home with his families musical background, He to furthered his musical knowledge in middle school, studying other instrument's, like the Tuba. Billy ,Paul, Levelle and Julius have very different musical backgrounds, while Bill likes a lot of Rock, Grung and classical to name a few, on the other hand Paul likes a lot of jazz, fusion and Gospel, Levelle likes R&B, jazz and country, Julius likes soul, rock and hip hop. They put there music styles together to come up with a earthy, raw, rock, uncut soul type feel, With all of there music backgrounds mentioned above added into the ingredients, It can all be heard in the kind of songs they write. Billy, Levelle and Julius met in middle school and had a lot of the same interest as for as music was concerned, they became friends and have been friends ever sense. Paul is the younger brother of Billy, the guitarist. They started the band Blaque Majique about ten years ago and they also started a strong bond and a tight gel between the four, witch makes creating ,playing and recording music a really great experience.
