Sound Cannon is exactly what their names implies. They blow you away with their music and virtuosity. Not only is it refreshing these days to witness such brilliant musicianship and great song writing, it's inspiring. They are the real deal. Playing at the Hard Rock in August of 2008 validated their talents along with their irresistibly unique Rock sound. Employees at Hard Rock Live said, "We've been here 8 years and we don't see bands like this come through. They are amazing." What's also amazing is that the oldest member of Sound cannon is just out of his teens. Bands of their caliber are usually much older. This is a young extraordinary band building a huge fan base that will grow with them for many years to come.

The Beginning
"Sound Cannon" merged from the 2006 band "Shift Comma Three" which featured Orlando musicians Baylor Johnson-vocalist, Maxx Danziger-drums, Bryan Boyhan-bass and Jared Hara-guitar. It was Baylor who formed the band with his talented friends, which included Jared, who lost his sight at the age of 12, after which he became an accomplished guitarist. The Loss
After a few small gigs, Baylor's enthusiasm for high school sports drew him away from the band he had brought together 6 months prior. Without a vocalist, the future of SC3 was definitely in jeopardy.

The Commitment
You would think that Maxx, Bryan and Jared would have parted ways after losing their singer. However, their unyielding passion for music and respect for each others enormous talents kept them committed to composing songs during 3 day a week practices. Determined to succeed, they worked relentlessly for the next 8 months while in search of the voice that would compliment their music. The bond that developed between Maxx, Bryan and Jared during this period of uncertainty would ultimately cement their future forever.

The Search
Classified ads looking for singers were placed in Florida newspapers and magazines,and many auditions ensued. However, the respondents were too old, not qualified or not serious enough to be in a band that would be performing nationally and ultimately, internationally. Enter Zach Bass, a 20-year-old maverick from the Orlando area who had moved 2 months earlier to New york City in order to pursue his music career. One of the classified ads found its way to Zach through friends and family members. The ad seemed suspicious to Zach, but he decided to send his bio and CD of his work to be analyzed by the band anyway. After listening to Zach's songs, management flew Zach home for an audition and to meet the band. After a few days of interviews and tough vocal auditions, Maxx, Jared and Bryan felt they had found a new friend with a voice they had envisioned. Zach had been in many bands before, but he had never seen anything like the bond, talent or commitment of Jared, Bryan and Maxx. He was back in Orlando within 2 weeks.

The Name
The music that Jared, Maxx and Bryan were creating before Zach came aboard was far superior to that of a year earlier. Adding Zach's musical talent was icing on the cake. The band was now complete and on their way. Only one thing was missing, a band name that resonated the truth, talent and passion of what they had become. A few days before their first show, they became "Sound Cannon".
