Since becoming a full-time musician in 2001, Chris Merkley has played in the streets and clubs of over a dozen different countries...throughout the course of four European and six American tours. He has busked in the streets of Paris to traffic-stopping crowds with his band, The Crooners, as well as found airplay on radio stations from Prague to Los Angeles. In addition to playing over 100 shows in 2008, Merkley composed five pieces of music for HBO's critically acclaimed series, 'Generation Kill', and made several trips from New York to Tennessee to record his first full-length solo studio album, entitled 'Thirty Miles from Nashville'. Now based in Binghamton, NY, Merkley is promoting 'Thirty Miles from Nashville' and working to convert a 38ft. school bus into an eco-friendly tour bus.
