Overview: Born June 22, 1983, in the small city of Rock Hill, South Carolina, William Walker was a very curious child. Listening to the sounds of such artists as James Brown, Sam Cooke, and Marvin Gaye, became a valuable tool in building his style. William moved to Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of seven. In 1995, William began writing songs when he was approached by the father of one of his long-time friends, Donald Wright. When he was asked to write his first song he wrote three songs that same night. Mr. Wright was so impressed with William's talent and perseverance that he told him he would like the opportunity to help him mold his skills. He began to listen to artist such as The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur along with various other genres of music, ranging from Jazz to Rock. William prided himself with his amazingly versatile style. He had many performances in his area and shocked many. People wondered haw a person of such a young age could make music that could reach people two to three times his age.
