Overview: She's only 17 years old, but Alyssa Poppin composes and performs music that is far beyond her teenage years. Her deep cutting lyrics and edgy sound greatly affect fans of all ages, stirring up emotion with songs about life and relationships. She was nominated for "Best Acoustic" for the 2008 MAMA awards and was one of eight artists to perform at the show. She has been performing around the Central Valley for just over a year and recently opened for Celly Cell at Hero's in December 08. Alyssa has a pop/rock sound and a voice that is unique and powerful. She usually performs live with her band and she gives an exciting performance but she also feels comfortable performing an acoustic set alone. Alyssa has recently completed her first professional project, a self-titled EP that was recorded with award winning producer Andrew Lane. Alyssa’s goal is to have a long and prosperous career in the music industry.
