Overview: Renaldo "ÑECO" Peña Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on the 16th of June, Ñeco as his loved ones often call him, learned the language of music at an early age. Music was always present in his family. His mother was a singer, at the age of seven, her and his father enrolled him at the famous Juan Morell Campos Music School in Ponce, and for the next nine years, Ñeco mastered music theory and classical piano, as well as vocal training, while performing in several concerts and talent shows around Puerto Rico. In his late teens, he developed a strict discipline, practiced piano for four hours daily, and began composing and arranging his own music. Later, he would discover his tremendous lyrical and vocal abilities as well as his guitar skills after long nights of playing “parrandas” throughout the years in Christmas.
