Overview: Michael Darwin's Theory features the world's only Father and Daughter lead guitarist team. Together Michael and Sophie mix Dance Grooves, Hip-Hop and Classic Hard Rock with a steady flow of lead guitar. While other children were learning their ABC's Sophie was listening to Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker. This lead to a steady diet of Marvin Gaye, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones,AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin. While other young girls try to emulate Britney Spears and Nelly Furtado, Sophie, a rocker at heart, has a stage presence that is reminisent of Jimmy Page. Michael has always felt that music is a very universal way to reach out and touch people, which is why subject matter is a major part of Michael Darwin's Theory's music. Although Michael writes about global issues that effect everyone, his songs predominately have content that Americans can strongly identify with, especially during these turbulent times.
