Overview: Black Angel is a rock/Americana/Southern rock band from Santa Barbara, CA whose song, "One Beer", was selected as the Song Of The Year for 2007 by Chuck Eddy, senior music editor of Billboard Magazine. Black Angel had two albums rated in the Top 35 albums of the year by writers for Rolling Stone, Billboard and The Village Voice. J. C. Martin is the singer/songwriter/guitar player for the band. Other band members have included Audrey (Mrs. Ike) Turner and Ronnie Turner (son of Ike and Tina) on bass. The band has played all the top Southern California clubs and is planning a national tour soon.
