Overview: With the release of his debut album, Jack County proves sometimes moving forward requires (two-) steps back.
In 2001, women’s shoe salesman Jackson Doyle left New Smyrna Beach, Florida and headed for Dallas with the dream of creating music. He found work playing bass guitar, the only problem, he didn’t know how to play. The self-taught performer quickly discovered a natural talent and spent six years playing with several national acts. In early 2007, the alternative rock band he had dedicated himself to fell apart, leaving Doyle (the only member with a credit score over 400) with thousands of dollars of debt. He spent almost two years working seven days a week to recover, finding the only solace and peace left in his life during the late evenings spent writing. At the bottom, the only direction to go is up. Jackson took a chance, followed his heart, and alone created something truly exceptional.
And we are thankful that he did. Jackson, full of drive and motivation when times seem
