“One Song From Stardom†is a startling fusion of hip-hop, rock and R&B. A pulse and attitude of hip-hop permeates through every song but a rock structure and energy is also evident while facets of the melodies bring to mind contemporary R&B sounds. The music is an eye-opening experience. The border between styles is blurred, a real accomplishment given that there’s plenty of space between hip-hop and R&B flavors and rock-n-roll. But SpeakaMan reveals his innate talent and bold artistic initiative by offering such a smooth overlap of genres.
SpeakaMan’s brilliance and originality has sent ripples out into the music community. His innovations are helping blur the boundaries not only between genres but also between the genres’ fans. His abilities have earned him the chance to share the stage with big league acts. He has opened for 50 Cent, Missy Elliott, Creig Mack, Queen Pen and Mario.
SpeakaMan is self-produced. He’s not only a polished songwriter and performer, but he’s also a capable music engineer. “Since I’m my own engineer and producer, I can take my time on my music. I can create a sound or convey an emotion without the studio time hours adding up.†SpeakaMan records in the comfort of his own living room but his music has the production values of produced in a professional studio.
The near future will see the release of SpeakaMan’s sophomore effort, “One Song From Stardom.†He’s also working to launch his label, “The SMMG,†and to collaborate with artists in various genres, in a production capacity or as a songwriter.
