Based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Aries Road is an upcoming rock group founded by Ryan & Ashley McCarty. The two songwriters have been married since 2006 and released their first single, California, in July 2008. By 2009, the couple had finished self-producing their full-length debut album, Keyholder. Following that release, they went back to the drawing board to redefine their music. With a new focus, they contacted drummer Tye Robison (The Nixons) and bassist Kirk Powers (American Tears, Deborah Gibson) to begin recording sessions for their next studio album. The first single released, Cloudburst, surfaced in July 2010 with plans to release a second shortly thereafter. After a few months, Ryan & Ashley parted ways with their former drummer leaving the song unfinished. In search of a new percussionist, Kirk turned the songwriting duo on to Mike Gage. With the long awaited release of the single Closer To Me, Aries Road is back on track and in the studio finishing a 4 song EP.
