Overview: Muscle Shoals, Alabama: The crossroads of country, rock and rhythm & blues, an oft-overlooked wellspring of truly American music made famous by legendary artists from Otis Redding to the Rolling Stones to the Drive-By Truckers. And now there’s one more to add to that list: the harmony-driven country rock from newcomers and namesakes the Shoals…
For the last two years, the Shoals have played stages across the South. They’ve opened for Gretchen Wilson, Shenandoah, Craig Morgan, and their home-state’s favorite sons, Alabama. The Shoals’ blend of driving down-home rock and four-part harmony vocals have garnered them comparisons to that legendary ‘Bama band, as well as classic country-rockers the Eagles.
Most recently, the band entered a Nashville studio to begin recording their debut with Grammy-award-winning producer Paul Worley (Dixie Chicks, Martina McBride, Big & Rich) and songwriter/producer Wally Wilson (Lonestar, Amy Grant). The band recorded six songs that they co-wrote with songwrit Artist Site
