Overview: Starting off as a two piece, A B & The Sea have mixed elements from folk to surf to establish their full band sound. The music is simple on the surface, but within every song, within every story, lie intricacies that subtly grace our souls. With influences from The Beach Boys and The Beatles, to Ryan Adams and Brandi Carlile, to The Morning Benders and Vampire Weekend, it is no accident that A B & The Sea is a walking contradiction. Their stories are flawed, but without the flaws, A B & The Sea would not be as honest and as easy to relate to. From beachy uplifters like †Suzie†and “We Love The Life That We Got†to simple story-telling lullabies like “Stories†and “Lilacs On Vinylâ€Â, A B & The Sea is sure to take you away from the drone of factory sounds and the plastic charm of the collegiate collar-popping pretty boys for at least 3 minutes and 30 seconds or so.
