Overview: Multiple Grammy winners Jon Carroll, Cathy Fink and Jim Robeson have joined forces with Baltimore singing sensation, Amanda Olsavsky, and New York recording artist, Ben Carroll, in a musical tribute to our fighting troops and those who wait for them. Their new compilation CD, entitled “Songs For Our Soldiers,” is now available online. In an eclectic song collection inspired by small town newspaper accounts of the triumphs and struggles of our troops and their families, these veteran performers lend their voices and instrumental talents to deeply textured music of valor, love, patriotism, loneliness and pride. Through a richly produced mix of electric country rock, pop ballads and love songs, feel-good peace anthems and stirring folk songs composed by Brenda Elthon, we are taken inside the war, as it is lived, day by day, by our soldiers and their loved ones.
