The band's influences are a metal-infused melting pot of rock including The Donnas, Rush, and Tool, with a dash of Paramore. While the band has been known to bring down the house with a rock laced cover of Disney's Little Mermaid, "Kiss the Girl" and a raucous version of Pat Benatar's hit "Heartbreaker." Their original songs have appealed across genres and "Shut Up (I Love You)" has gained airplay on radio stations across Connecticut. It was also named "Best Indie Song of 2008" from blogofsound.com readers and was the FM102X Song of the Day on Feb. 9, 2009. "Music Inside" was also honored as a semi-finalist in the Spin Hot Pursuit Contest in the Summer of 2008 sponsored by Spin Magazine, Hennessy, and Gibson Guitars. April of 2009 found She Eats Planets named Band of the Week at Hartford, Connecticut's 106.9 FM WCCC.
She Eats Planets' self-titled debut EP sold out its initial 500 unit run in less than 30 days and is available on iTunes, Amazon.com, eMusic, Rhapsody, and Napster.
