Overview: The band DEMOLUTION has its roots in 70’s and 80’s cover rock. The local Charlotte, NC band Vision was formed by Rick Wagoner and Chip Rogers in the year 1976 and played gigs until late 1984. Vision covered bands like Black Sabbath, Bad Company, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Outlaws, the Stones, Boston, Kansas, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, April Wine, Doobie Brothers, Grand Funk and too many more to name here. One of the most popular cover bands at the time, they were the house band at both Elbow’s and the Bank Lounge, plus did regular gigs at the legendary Milestone Club and Cheap Charlie’s. In fact, the Vision gig at the Milestone Club was the first time Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were ever called to the Milestone due to excessive loudness. Vision specialized in wild parties, frat gigs, and some concert opening gigs.
They had serious original music as well, having gotten themselves invited as a feature on 95WROQ FM Radio’s Q-Tracks album (published in 1979) featuring other local bands like Sugarcreek, Geo

The first four songs of the new CD: DEMOLUTIONIZER are mixed and posted. Listen to the new cuts at New! or at www.demolutionrocks.com! Featuring the soulful vocals and keyboard virtuosity of Chip Rogers, these new cuts are awesome.
Demolution is the band that arose out of the artistic reunion of Rick Wagoner and Chip Rogers. The instrumental work featured here is mostly Rick's solo work, and Chip will begin collaboration on a whole new CD very soon. Chip and Rick go back to the mid-seventies. When their high-school rock band Vision went Pro in 1977 they began gigging and were featured as the house bands a couple of local bars: The Bank Lounge, where they played nearly every Friday and Saturday night from 1979-1981; Elbows, who got the Bank's leftovers, and occasional college and private party gigs. Chip is trained in classical piano and has developed his keyboard chops over the years of playing original and cover. Billy Powell, Keith Emerson, Jon Lord, Rick Wakeman and other legends are his basic influences, but his style is consistently original and all his own. Rick studied rock guitar from local legend Stan Jacques from 1975-1978, even after going Pro. Other teachers include Lenny Federal, Robert McClure, Tim Murray and years of self-study. Influenced early on by Tony Iommi and Michael Bruce, later influences included George Benson, Ritchie Blackmore, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Zakk Wylde, Mark Tremonti and Kid Rock.
