Overview: The General Store Band-USA was first formed in 1999. Gary Lewis, (Lead Vocalist) & James "Ed" Cook, (Lead Guitarist), had previously played in a Band together in the late 70's early 80's, and decided it was time to do it again. We picked up Gary Heflin, on Bass Guitar & Ricky Carter on Drums to complete our group. We practiced for about a year and then started playing out again, at the local VFW, American Legions, Moose Clubs, Lion's Club, Craft Shows, Festivals, Carnivals, etc. The General Store Band-USA plays Country, Rock & Rock and our own Original Music. We began focusing on our Original Music, (songs written by our lead vocalist Gary Lewis, with the lead music arrangements by our lead guitarist, Ed Cook. These songs are about Life, Love, Loss, Patriotism, and just about life in general. Something everyone can identify with. We began adding our Originals to our performance's, and have recieved very good response to them. We now have our first CD out with 10 of our Original
